Jessy has been sewing since she was 9 years old and now owns Seams Sewing and Mercantile with locations in Lansing and Kalamazoo. A lifelong fiber nerd, she enjoys studying traditional textile techniques and then info-dumping them on anyone who will listen.

Sashiko Embroidery

Master the basics of hitomezashi sashiko stitching in this introductory class. This iconic style of embroidery originated in Japan in the early 1600s and has gained popularity worldwide as a way of reinforcing worn clothing. Bring a pair of jeans to patch, or practice on the cloth provided. All materials are included and no skill is required!
