Jessy has been sewing since she was 9 years old and now owns Seams Sewing and Mercantile with locations in Lansing and Kalamazoo. A lifelong fiber nerd, she enjoys studying traditional textile techniques and then info-dumping them on anyone who will listen.

This iconic style of embroidery originated in Japan in the early 1600s and has gained popularity worldwide as a way of reinforcing worn clothing. Bring a pair of jeans to patch, or practice on the cloth provided. All materials are included and no skill is required!
