Misty (Imperial) is a Sewing & Maker focused Twitch Ambassador and Partner with over a decade of live crafting, sewing, and gaming experience, as well as the maker behind the iconic Tauntaun sleeping bag for ThinkGeek.
She specializes in bag making, clothing, and cosplay construction, combining technical precision with a love of experimentation and problem-solving. At GenCon, she’s bringing that same hands-on, anything-is-possible energy into the crafting classroom.

Create a simple drop spindle and learn how to turn fiber into yarn!
We’ll start the class by making our drop spindles, and learn how to spin with instruction. You’ll receive all the materaials and access to the tools needed to make your spindle, as well as some fiber to practice with!

Make your own Notions Jar with Pin cushion Cover!
Create your own crafting/sewing notions jar, complete with pin cushion top with your choice of fabric.
There’s never enough places to put all of your pins, clips, safety pins, etc! My solution has always been to combine my pin cushion with easy to see through notions containers! In this class you will be creating either 1 large or 2 small notion jars with pin cushion top to take home. Participants will have a choice of pin cushion fabric.

Making your own stitch markers for Knitting and/or crochet
Make a set of stitch markers for your crochet or knitting projects.
Knitting and Crochet use different stitch markers – come learn the difference while you make a set (or a few!) to take home. Participants will leave class with a full set of 8 stitch markers.

Advanced Bag Making Concepts
Learn how to navigate a bag pattern, and cut/prep to sew at home!
Start creating an advanced bag, learning to patterns that fit your style. Learn how to cut a pattern & fabric/Interfacing while cutting out your actual bag fabric to take home and create, or use the crafting room at GenCon!! Please note if you took this class in the past, this is a new pattern for this year!
