Con is the younger half of the cosplaying duo Pros and Cons Cosplay. She/They is a multi-award winning, Master level cosplayer, judge, and contest director, and instructor from the midwest region of the United States. Con loves most elements of cosplay construction, but has a particular fondness for projects that involve unconventional crafting methods, as well as wig styling. They believe in the power of education, and host workshops and panels that cover cosplay crafting, cosplay contest etiquette and judging, DEI and other topics in the cosplay community. They are passionate about creating a more inclusive cosplay community through education, policy assessment, and advocacy for marginalized communities.
In her nearly 20 years of experience in cosplay, Con has appeared domestically and internationally to showcase how wonderful and transformative cosplay truly can be! Con has also worked with crafting and supply companies to produce tutorials and workshops including Arda Wigs and Famore.
Pro of Pros and Cons Cosplay has been cosplaying since the early 2000’s, and is a multi-award winning cosplayer, judge, instructor, and contest director from the midwest. She was most recently awarded the 2022 USA Crown Champion of Cosplay at C2E2, and her cosplay passion includes advanced fabric manipulation techniques, resin details or anything that sparkles. Pro is also an advocate for inclusion and equity in the cosplay community through programming, policy, and education for marginalized communities to make costuming a safer, more welcoming place for all.
Ponytail Clips from Scratch – A Wig Making Class
Are you bold enough to take your wig styling to the next level? This panel Con from Pros and Cons Cosplay will discuss the ins and outs of making a wig from scratch! Learn about the tools you need, steps you take, and a few tips and tricks to keep from pulling out your own hair making your own wig. We will apply these skills to make your own ponytail clip! Students should be comfortable using basic stitches on a sewing machine.

Mold Making and Casting for Beginners
Mold making and casting can add stability, rigidity, texture to projects! We will cover: safety, mold types, casting types and more. Attendees will use Mold Star and Smooth Cast to make their very own mini figurines and can keep it to take home.

Weaving is one of the world’s oldest form of textile production. In this workshop, learn the basics of one of many forms of this craft, create your own frame loom to practice with, and take home.

Herald a procession or label your office door with flair! This intro to sewing class will teach you how to make your very own gonfalon style banner which is perfect to practice color blocking, topstitching, point turning, making channels and adding trim.
