Love English Paper Piecing or want to learn to quilt by hand? Let’s hand sew together – learn to English Paper piece a small Quilt of your choice! No experience necessary. Already know how to EPP? Choose an advanced kit!
Learn to English Paper Piece by creating a small quilt. In this class we will start with the basic hexagon shape and add on triangles and/or half hexagons. If you would like to choose your kit, you can email toni@quiltoni.com with your choice. If you know how to EPP already you can choose an advanced kit. (DO NOT choose an advanced kit if you are a beginner). You will not finish the quilt in class, but will gain the knowledge to finish on your own.

Casey Renee is a garment and costume sewing educator, award winning cosplayer, and author of “Cosplay Foundations: Your Guide to Constructing Bodysuits, Corsets, Hoop Skirts, Petticoats & More”. Casey is incredibly passionate about cosplay craftsmanship and creating educational content. She loves sharing her experience with others and helping the cosplay community as a whole learn new things and celebrate each other’s cosplay construction journey.
How to Make a Hoop Skirt – $55
In this class you will learn about the different materials used to make a hoop structure. You will also get to use some high quality materials to make a mini hoop skirt that is yours to take home with you. You need basic sewing machine knowledge to take this class, how to thread a needle and tie a knot for hand sewing as well as be 16 or older to take this class.

How to Sew Pain in the Butt Fabrics – $30
In this class you will learn about the different needles, thread, and sewing feet needed to sew with difficult fabrics like stretch vinyl, tulle, and more. This class also comes with cheat sheets you get to take home with you as well as a digital course you can refer to whenever you like.
Have you ever wanted to master difficult materials like chiffon, or velvet? Well this class will teach you everything you need to know to create a perfect stitch, every time with these difficult materials.

Introduction to Tambour Embroidery – $45
This class will teach the chain stitch which is the foundation of Tambour and from there we will build upon that foundation with beads and sequins. Since this technique is so unique to itself there is no prior experience needed however patience is highly recommended for this technique.

Melanie Jasmine is an award-winning designer and costume maker from the DFW area. As a Bernina Brand Ambassador and a passionate educator, she travels across the US sharing her knowledge through sewing classes and cosplay workshops, fostering a supportive community of like-minded creators.

Wicked Witch Hat – $40
During this class, we learn how to make a Witch Hat at 50% scale from scratch. The students will receive pre-cut pieces of fabric, and access to a free pattern that they can download on PDF at home. This class will cover the following topics: working with stabilizer and cotton fabrics, how to sew circles and curves, the basics of garment making, how to sew inseams, and how to assemble a 3D fabric structure

Making the Purr-fect Cat Ears – $40
This class will use pre-cut pieces of faux fur and felt. Students will learn how to sew faux fur, adjust sewing machine tension and stitch length, and how to pivot. At the end, the students will use hot glue to attach their cat ears to a plastic head band
Turn on your sewing meowchine, and let’s get this paw-ty started! on this workshop, you will learn how to make the purr-pect pair of cat ears using felt a variety of felt, faux fur, and a heandband. Sign up meow!

It has pockets! – $40
During this class, students will learn how to sew hidden pockets from scratch, and how to attach them to their garments and costumes. The fabric will be pre-cut, and the students will receive their own set of instructions and patterns.
Pockets! The holy grail of cosplay. Join us in this hands-on workshop and learn how to make hidden pockets for your costumes! You will learn about different types of pockets, how to trace a pattern, cut fabric, and sew a hidden pocket from scratch, which you will take home. The class cost includes all materials to learn and build your own set of pockets!

Paint and Simple! Bodypaint for Cosplay – $35
Students will learn the basics of body paint: skin prepping, applying body paint, makeup, and sealing it. They will each receive a sample kit consisting of water based bodypaint, a small stencil, a sponge, a brush, and a cup of water to follow along with the tutorial. All the materials that will be used are skin safe.
In this workshop, you will learn about different types of bodypaint, how to use them, how to apply them, and how to layer makeup on top. Most importantly: how to make sure you can wash them off! You will use real bodypaint and brush to practice, so come in ready to paint!

Goldchickadee
Goldchickadee has been cosplaying since 2006, and has won a number of cosplay craftsmanship and performance awards, including two cosplay cultural exchange awards to the Netherlands and Singapore. She works as a professional pattern draper and tailor, and has previously worked for Walt Disney World Creative Costuming.

Make a Pouch: Zippers and Bias Tape! – $30
In this workshop, students will learn how to do three of the most requested skills for intermediate sewing: installing a centered zipper, adding a lining, and applying bias tape. The project includes both machine and hand sewing.
At the end, you’ll get to take home a cute, colorful pouch! The project includes a pattern and instructions created by Goldchickadee, pre-cut fabric, and all the materials you’ll need to complete your zippered pouch.

Zlecky
Zlecky is a competitive cosplay sewist whose passion is sewing, embroidery and embellishments. She works to use different sewing techniques in her projects to tell a story in fabric. She is currently studying goldwork and silk embroidery.
Free Motion Machine Embroidery for Cosplay – $30
This workshop will look at how to use the free motion sewing machine foot to embellish fabrics. This simple sewing technique lets you add embroidery details without having an embroidery machine. Participants will learn how to use the foot to satin stitch, attach decorative fabrics like sequins and appliques. Participants will use these skills to create a freemotion lace feather.
Particpants will leave with sampler with each of these skills using a sewing machine with a free motion foot. Participants will be provided samples of different types of fabrics to practice on.

Jessy Gregg / Seams Sewing and Mercantile Store
Jessy has been sewing since she was 9 years old, when her mother set her down in front of an old Singer Sewing machine with a basket of denim scraps. She hasn’t stopped sewing since and her life long love of the craft has encompassed theatrical costuming, art quilting and fashion sewing. In 2019 her passion took another leap forward when she opened Seams Sewing and Mercantile, a full service sewing supplies shop featuring natural fiber fabrics, patterns from independent designers and classes for all skill levels. Ultra Beginner Sewing – $50
Learn everything you need to know to start sewing with confidence! Students will learn the anatomy of a sewing machine, threading, and following an accurate seam allowance. We’ll also cover troubleshooting and learn how to avoid common mistakes. You’ll even make a treasured object to bring home with you! Okay, it’s a coaster but it will be handmade by you and you’ll beam with pride every time you spill your drink on it.

Visible Mending, Upcycling and Embellishments from around the World – $70
Dive into the rich tradition of textile upcycling with an emphasis on the Sashiko traditions of Japan and Kantha embroidery from Bengal. We’ll cover both moyōzashi and hitomezashi sashiko and explore examples of modern mending and embellishment inspired by these traditions.

Silverdog Cosplay
Silverdog Cosplay has been making cosplays for about 10+ years and has picked up a lot of different skills mostly all self taught and by watching and learning from others. Along the way while making cosplay outfits she got into making scalemail and chainmail pieces for cosplay and attending Renaissance festivals and has applied their craft to making such outfits. Making scalemail and chainmail pieces for the past 5 years and enjoys making these small little trinkets for friends and family and has helped her understand jewelry making as well.

Scalemail Flower – $20
Come join in making a fun cute blue scalemail flower, get an idea into making fun trinkets, great for those thinking about getting into chainmail or scalemail and for those with more experience weavers to do a fun little project.
For those new to the field they’ll get an idea and learn how to weave with chainmail and scalemail and understanding some of the terminology used when working with chainmail and scalemail items, have a grasp on how to handle flat needle nose pliers. If those that have a background come in, it’ll be a fun project, if they’ve never made trinkets or accessories out of chainmail and scalemail. They’ll be able to keep instructions on how to make a scalemail flower of they wish to make future flowers, also be given a jump ring size guide.

Connor Good
Connor Good (Karmada Cosplay) has been making cosplays since 2001 and competed in numerous competitions since 2004 – even crossing the oceans and going international. He has also written and illustrated the book “Epic Cosplay Costumes” featuring tutorials to get people started on their cosplay journey.

Beginner’s Guide to HTV (heat transfer vinyl) – $20
In this class, we will be covering what is HTV, and what you can do with it, alongside with some information on how to design cutting files and sending it to cutting machines. Ending with an interactive workshop where students will learn to weed a design and apply the HTV to a canvas bag.
Class will learn about different types of HTV, tools needed, programs/cutters available. Each student will be provided a pre-cut HTV design, and taught how to weed the design using a small tool. Students will then iron the HTV to a canvas bag, and they will get to keep the tool and canvas bag!

Michee Rose/ Dittoform
Michee Rose has been cultivating her sewing skills since her first job at JoAnn Fabrics. With a love of fabric and fashion and a penchant for self-expression, she has evolved to sew the majority of her wardrobe from lingerie to activewear to outerwear. This drive to express herself via fashion extends to her burlesque performances. She has been performing burlesque for over a decade, creating all her costumes for her heavily themed shows.

Dressform 101: Hows and Whys of Dressform Use – $30
Why use a dressform? In this lecture-style class, we’ll show you how to use a dress form, the differences between different forms, and demo some basic draping techniques. You will be provided with a packet of reference material and resources. Please bring note taking supplies.
Students will receive a handout with resource information, some basic draping advice, and room for notes. Students will discover the many ways a dress form can be utilized, including fitting and embellishment layout as well as introductory pattern draping. This is a lecture-style class with questions encouraged. Dressforms provided by DittoForm.

Learn to use a dress form to drape some basic pattern pieces. You’ll have time to use the dressforms to get a feel for how flat patterns compare to draped patterns and how to use both together.

Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms and conditions
By purchasing a ticket for a particular workshop, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set out below (“Terms”) and they will be incorporated into the contract between us (“Contract”). The Contract is formed when we send you a booking confirmation.
2. Payment
The fee for attending the Workshop (“ticket”) will be as stated on the ticket for the relevant Workshop. Prices include all taxes and fess. All payments for the ticket must be made in full at the time of completing the registration form and in any event prior to the date of the Workshop. Payment will be made via our merchant account provider (and you consent to us passing your necessary details to the merchant account provider and to them processing necessary information about you) or directly to our bank account, as notified to you. We reserve the right to run price promotions as we think fit.
3. Refunds
All tickets for the Workshops are refundable. However, all ticket refunds must be requested before the start time of that workshop. If you do not show up for my workshop, or are late, the teacher shall be paid for the spot and no refunds will be granted since the spot was not able to be resold to another student.
4. Cancellation
There may be circumstances in which we need to cancel the Workshop. In such circumstances, we will provide you with a full refund of the amount of the Registration Fee that you have paid to us and we will make very effort to provide you with such refund within 30 days of the date of cancellation.
5. Liability and Disclaimer – important, you must read this
Our sole liability in relation to any cancellation, postponement or change of venue shall be limited to the price paid by you for such Workshop and we shall not be liable under any circumstances for any consequential losses.
In providing this workshop, no person is acting as your solicitor or providing you with legal advice. We are providing you with training, template documents and guidance.
6. Your obligations
If you act in any way which in our opinion is likely to cause any harm or nuisance to any person at the Workshop, you will be required to leave the Workshop and we shall not be liable to refund your Registration Fee or any other payment.
You must comply at all times with the health and safety policy of the venue. You must comply with all requests from us or the venue with regard to health and safety and failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the workshop (in which case no refund will be provided). You may not bring any equipment or items of a hazardous or dangerous nature to the Workshop.
You shall not cause any damage to any part of the venue (including outside areas, and all inside walls, flooring, fixtures and fittings). You are solely liable for any damage caused by you, your employees, contractors, sub-contractors and agents to any such area of the venue and shall fully reimburse us in relation to any damage so caused.
You must keep your personal belongings with you at all times and we accept no liability for any damage to, loss of or theft of any of your belongings or other items brought to the Workshop by you.
7. Promotional materials and materials at the Workshop
You agree that we may include your details in any promotional materials relating to the Workshop and/or any materials used at the Workshop. We are not liable for errors or omissions contained in such information.
Unless otherwise stated, the copyright for any such promotional materials and any materials used at the Workshop (including course notes, slides, brochures, articles and case studies) belongs to us and may not be reproduced in any medium without our prior written consent.
You may use such materials for your own business purposes only and may not reproduce, publish or deal with such materials in any way for any commercial use.
We reserve the right to change the published program (including the publicized speakers) or materials as we think fit.
8. Photography and filming
We may wish to photograph or film the Workshop and reserve the right to do so for the purposes of promoting future workshops or otherwise. You consent to us (or any other person attending the Workshop) photographing or filming you and any persons attending the Workshop with you. You may not photograph or video the Workshop without our prior consent.
9. Tickets
When signing up for a workshop, a QR code will be sent to you. You must present this QR code for scanning before you are allowed to enter the workshop area. If you do not have a QR code, proof of purchase and a government issued ID must be shown.
10. Disability and medical conditions
If you have any disability or medical condition that requires us to make special arrangements for you, please email us at toni@quiltoni.com as soon as possible and in any workshop at least 2 weeks prior to the date of the Workshop.
11. Limitations of Liability
While every reasonable precaution is taken by us to ensure security and safety at the workshop, we shall not in any way be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you whatsoever in relation to the Workshop, save that nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to limit the liability of any person for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, any fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability for which it is unlawful to exclude or limit liability.
Our total liability for any matter arising out of the Contract shall in all circumstances be limited to the price paid by you for the Workshop and we shall not in any circumstances be liable to you for any consequential loss whatsoever.
12. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by US and Canada Law and your hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts.
