Jewelry for the Bees

Using amber, white sapphires, silver and 14k gold, these designs are probably the most expensive pieces of jewelry I’ve ever show cased, but also some of the most adorable. Designed and created by Natalia Moroz, these adorable honeycomb jewelry pieces were inspired by her childhood.

“As many of inspirations come from one’s early impressions, I remember of a small family farm where my great aunt and uncle grew grapes and kept over a dozen of beehives. It was exciting to see all stages of bee production and harvesting. And the first necklace I had as a little girl was an amber drop that always reminded me of honey. Now, so many years later, when I thought of making the honeycomb necklace, amber seemed to be an obvious choice of gemstones. Additionally, we make the same design with citrines.”

The citron stones do still give that lovely honey color, but there’s something to be said for the nature of the amber as well. You can see flecks of debris stuck in the stones that I think pairs incredibly well with the theme. All of their jewelry if handmade in North Carolina (and not all of it is bees) so you should definitely check it out over on their etsy store; Winged Lion.
