I know I’m biased since I make small cute things myself, but I just love adorable animal plushies. Extra points if they have a cat one cause, much like most of the internet, I’m a sucker for adorable cats.
Maine based artist Floydine makes these one of a kind felt animals and they are just so cute. Not only are they tiny and hand sewn, but the little detail embellishments really make the piece, imho. After the cats, some of my favorite ones are the horses.
I love how they’re the realistic horse with the My Little Pony style imagery on the backside. Their use of imagery on the plushies doesn’t end there though. You’ll also find ones with little embroidered scenes on their sides instead.
There’s not much in their etsy shop at the moment, but if you also like adorable animals, this is certainly a shop to check out and bookmark for the future. 🙂
I know I’ve posted some pretty spectacular needle felted items in the past, but seriously, I just keep finding incredibly talented people when it comes to this relatively unknown art form! This newest find has been selling her work on Etsy for the past 3 years and it’s just amazing.
Yvonne’s Workshop is all about making custom nature based display pieces for you home that are just so on point. Other then witchcraft I have no idea how she gets something heavy like that owl to balance properly. XD Her work can also be delicate and small though.
She’s a former Pixar employee that, like most of us, just has a love of all things art. Her plans are to expand her shop in the future to also include hand made baskets and possibly some future paintings as well. Until then her needle felting is still without a doubt worth a look to fawn over. 🙂
I’m on a cute roll this week everyone. Today’s isn’t as functional as yesterday’s, but I think you’ll like the twist to it all the same.
Now, while this ring is certainly beautiful/cute, it caught my eye because it’s not just one ring….it’s three.
How cool is that?! The creative talent behind this is DAINTYme, a jewelry maker from Thailand that works mostly in brass, silver and enamel to make all of their wonderful creations. All of their work is nature inspired, with their rings being primarily various animals. Other jewelry (earrings, necklaces and so on) that they make are more often based off flowers; of which these lovely Bougainvillea Flower Earrings are a great example:
I know I’ve said several times when I make jewelry posts that I don’t really wear any myself, but when I do dress up and put some on, these are the pieces I often choose. There is no higher recommendation I can give for you to check out this store more then that.
